For individuals who are experiencing difficulty or discomfort when swallowing. May stem from a stroke or head injury, a progressive disease such as dementia, Parkinsons, or multiple sclerosis, head/neck cancer or from age-related structural or muscular problems.
Key focus areas: oral motor/pharyngeal exercises, safe-swallow precautions and strategies, texture-modified (altered) diet

For any individuals experiencing difficulty with their voice. Individuals likely to experience a voice disorder include those with a progressive neurological disease such as Parkinsons or Huntingtons, individuals recovering from head/neck cancer, and professionals required to use their voice (i.e., teachers, singers, and public speakers).
Key focus areas: muscle tension dysphonia, vocal fold paralysis, vocal fold dysfunction
Our Adult Services

For children birth to age three with developmental delays, disabilities, or simply struggling to communicate.
Key focus areas: understanding words, talking, functional play skills and interacting with others.

For children three years and older who are having difficulty understanding others (receptive) or expressing themselves (expressive) or a combination of both.
Receptive language key focus areas: following directions, answering simple questions, understanding basic or age-appropriate concepts
Expressive language key focus areas: communicating basic wants/needs, vocabulary/number of words used consistently, using complete sentences, or using age appropriate grammar.

For children of any age who have difficulty pronouncing sounds or words correctly. These difficulties may make it difficult to understand what the child is saying when they are speaking.
Key focus areas: articulation (difficulty producing certain sounds), phonology (patterns of speech sound errors), reduced intelligibility (unable to be understood), childhood apraxia of speech (motor programming and planning difficulty when trying to speak).

For children of any age who are stuttering or cluttering.

For children of any age who may need more options to effectively communicate.

For children of any age who have difficulty eating including drinking (coughing/choking), chewing, swallowing or refusing foods.
Key focus areas: coordinating breathing/swallowing while nursing or bottle feeding, transitioning to solids, expanding acceptance of a variety of foods, making mealtimes enjoyable (not stressful!)

Additional services offered include: post-concussive syndrome, auditory processing disorder (APD), social/pragmatic communication, and voice disorders.
